Many artists and event organizers are taking to social media to live stream gigs and parties to keep us all entertained while we practice self-distancing.
Here's a selection of events happening throughout April, we'll be keeping this list updated over the coming weeks so keep checking back!
WAS. x ZeeZout: Streaming together, apart | April 9th, 7:00 PM (CET)
Already binged the entire Tiger King documentary? Time to turn off Netflix for a while and start that living room dance party. Catch the live stream of Lewski and Detroit Swindle straight from WAS.
Dimitri Kneppers | April 10th, 9:00 PM (CET)
This Friday, from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM (CET), the Dutch DJ Dimitri Kneppers will cheer you up with his all-time favourite bangers! The live streaming will be hosted on De Marktkantine Facebook page.
DIYsolation Festival | April 10th to April 12th
From Friday to Sunday, live streams of artists such as Pale Waves, Self Esteem, Marika Hackman and Sports Team will be brought to you thanks to the DIYsolation Festival. The shows will happen throughout the weekend on the DIY Magazine Instagram page, and any donations received will go to the Help Musicians Fund.
Digital DGTL | April 11th and 12th, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM (CET)
DGTL fans may not be going to NDSM Docklands this weekend, but they sure won't be left without some amazing shows to watch! DGTL has gone digital and will be hosting a live stream festival with a line up of 28 artists, including Adriantique, Ki/ki, Jasper Wolff and Worakls.
Homecoming: at home with… | April 14th to April 19th, 6:00 PM (BST)
This is the moment for everybody to stay at home… Including your favorite artists! In order to raise money for a number of different charities, Ticketmaster is organizing a series of live streams in which artists show fans their house. First week will showcase the houses 5 different artists coming live on their Facebook page.
On World: Together at Home | April 18th, 12:00 AM (GMT)
The World Health Organization and Global Citizen joined forces to create this global broadcast to celebrate and support all the healthcare workers that are saving so many lives during this pandemic. The line up is curated in collaboration with Lady Gaga and includes names raging from Billie Eilish to Paul McCartney.
Live From Out There | everyday until April 26
Live From Out There is a subscription-based live streaming festival that raised $150,000 for the Sweet Relief’s COVID-19 Fund in less than two weeks. Until the end of April, fans can subscribe to get access to full sets, special programming and first-time collaborations from a number of artists.
United We Stream Berlin | everyday
When Berlin’s Night clubs were asked to close venue owners and event organizers came together to create the United We Stream platform. Everyday, a line up of different DJs from Berlin's night scene performs their set from a currently closed club. Donations are asked of viewers to help Berlin's night culture survive the safety measures.
United We Stream Manchester | everyday
Manchester has recently launched an equivalent platform featuring DJs form the UK city. Live streams will happen everyday from 7:00 PM (GMT) on their website.
UnCancelled Music Festival | everyday
Featuring artists from across the globe, the UnCancelled Music Festival will stream shows happening everyday until the Covid-19 crisis subsides. The line up is chosen by renowned venues from all over the world, and includes names like Colbie Caillat, Emily Kinney, Josh Radnor and Betty Who. Fans can choose between a number of different stages and buy their tickets to the performances they don't want to miss.
Sofar Sounds Live Streaming | everyday
Sofar Sounds is all about creating unique and intimate experiences by transforming regular spaces (like an office or the kitchen of a restaurant) into venues and hosting acoustic concerts of up and coming artists. In order to support the artists whose shows got cancelled, their platform is hosting live streams of independent artists from all over the world.
Billboard: Live At-Home Series | everyday
Everyday on Billboard's Facebook Page, artists from all genres are performing mini-concerts to raise money to a charity of their choice. The acts also answer fan's questions in between playing songs from the comfort of their homes. You can catch a recap of the performances that already happened, and the charities that have been supported, on Billboard's website.
Mi Casa, Tu Casa Series | everyday
Latin Music lovers can now have a daily dose of their favorite artists delivered to their phones! Mi Casa, Tu Casa is a new series created by Warner Music Latin and will feature some of the label's artists, like Sofia Reyez, in an intimate 5 to 10 minute session at their homes. The videos are pre recorded and will be uploaded to Warner's Youtube Channel every day.
