Indian Skies brings together the moods, rhythms and masterful musicians of the colourful Indian musical tradition, expressed through the Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra’s playful, delicate and powerful sound. The work is the culmination to date of composer and saxophonist Lars Møller’s decades-long endeavour to incorporate the emotional depths of melodic Indian ragas and the refined rhythms of contemporary jazz and orchestral music.
