The next headline act for the 2026 Giessen Cultural Summer has been confirmed: Uriah Heep, one of the longest-running and most influential rock bands in British music history, are coming to Giessen for the first time. On 25 August 2026, the British band will take to the stage as part of the Kultursommer series and deliver an evening that brings musical tradition and raw live sound to the heart of Hesse – with anthems such as “Lady in Black”, one of the band’s most popular rock ballads, which achieved cult status particularly in Germany, and the driving hard rock classic “Easy Livin’”, which has been a staple of their live sets since its release in 1972.
